Gossip Girl star had passed away: Cause of death revealed

American actress Michelle Trachtenberg was found dead in her home in New York. It was known that the 39-year-old actress had recently undergone a liver transplant. 

According to a report by The Guardian, it was stated that complications arising from diabetes caused Trachtenberg's death. Her family announced that the death occurred from natural causes and that there was no need for an autopsy.

The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner announced that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and therefore no autopsy would be performed. Trachtenberg had reached a wide fan base, particularly with her role as Georgina Sparks in the series Gossip Girl.

WHO IS MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG?

Born on October 11, 1985, in New York, Michelle Trachtenberg began her acting career at a young age. She appeared in the series The Adventures of Pete and Pete when she was just 9 years old. She had her first cinematic experience as a lead role in the 1996 film Harriet the Spy.

Trachtenberg drew attention with the character Dawn Summers, Buffy's sister, in the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Later, she achieved international fame with her role as Georgina Sparks in the series Gossip Girl.
