Gülse Birsel to rappers: You cannot constantly talk about aches and pains
Actress and screenwriter Gülse Birsel criticized arabesque rappers during a program she appeared on as a guest.
Famous actress Gülse Birsel was a guest on the program 'Az Önce Konuştum', hosted by Candaş Tolga Işık. Stating that she listens to rap music, Birsel expressed her dissatisfaction with the lyrics of rap songs, saying, "However, some themes stick in one's ear."
Birsel used the following expressions:
"I was listening to it too, but some themes stick in one's ear. They are very talented kids. I have nothing but respect and love for all of them, but do we have to complain this much in life? How bad can your life be? You cannot constantly talk about your health problems. You are strong, healthy young men. You cannot constantly talk about aches and pains. Look, the problem is with you."
"'My throat is dry, my legs ache, there is a throbbing in my head, my feet won't hold me...' They are always cold. I get cold easily, but they get colder than I do. They complain that Istanbul is very cold; it is not cold. This is not Oslo, it is a warm country. Go to a doctor and check what vitamin deficiency you have. There are constant complaints about cities being cold; well, move then, my dear. There are many complaints. There are many health problems. And also, constant plans of death..."
