Famous showman Mehmet Ali Erbil has united his life with his girlfriend Gülseren Ceylan, who is 42 years his junior. The couple entered into marriage at a simple and romantic ceremony held in the garden of their villa in Yeniköy. However, the fact that Gülseren Ceylan's family did not attend the ceremony drew attention.

In a statement made after the wedding, Ceylan stated that the tension she experienced with her family saddened her;
