In the film "Maria," which tells the life story of the Greek-American soprano Maria Callas, Angelina Jolie will portray Callas, while Haluk Bilginer will play the Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.
Filming for the movie began recently. It has been learned that Haluk Bilginer will receive 800 thousand dollars (22 million TL) for this role.
He will also receive a percentage of the film's box office revenue.
WHAT IS THE PLOT OF THE FILM MARIA?
Written by Steven Knight, "Maria" will focus on Maria Callas's life in Paris in the 1970s and the deep loneliness she experienced.
Aristotle Onassis left Maria Callas to marry Jackie Kennedy, the wife of the assassinated John F. Kennedy. Following this betrayal, Callas moved first to Italy and then to France. Maria Callas passed away in 1977 at the age of 52 due to a heart attack.
