Haluk Levent made notable statements after being sentenced to a 70 million TL judicial fine in a case in which he was tried for two separate bounced cheques issued in 2025.
Haluk Levent, who was sentenced to a 70 million TL judicial fine in the bounced cheque case, also disclosed his health problems and announced that he will step down from the Ahbap presidency after the audit process is completed.
Levent touched on his health problems and stated that he will leave his post once the audit process is concluded.
"I WILL STEP DOWN FROM THE AHBAP PRESIDENCY"
Levent made the following remarks:
I suffered a stomach haemorrhage. Due to my health problems and intense stress, I have significantly neglected my professional life, my music, and my compositions.
I am currently a United Nations goodwill ambassador for Syria and Lebanon. I now want to showcase my own projects alongside more global ones. This is my dream.
I also believe that the friends who will manage Ahbap will be very successful. After the upcoming projects are completed and after I come out of this year's audit with my head held high, I will step down from the Ahbap presidency.
