Erçel replied, "I want to answer this through my character. Leyla and many strong female characters fight hard to exist in their own worlds. Unfortunately, I also fight hard to exist in my profession in my country.

When we watch them, we say 'what a beautiful character,' but when we see someone from real life, we don't support them; we criticize them. These criticisms sometimes upset me, but it is my 10th year in the profession. I am very happy with where I am at this point."
