Manager Ayşe Barım, the owner of ID İletişim, was taken into custody over allegations of monopolization in the TV series and film industry, but was arrested on January 28 on claims that she was one of the 'planners' of the Gezi Park Protests 12 years ago. Erçel had attended her manager Ayşe Barım's hearings and shown her support.
