Hasan Can Kaya reacts to Sedef Karamehmet's donation!
The donation amount offered by Sedef Karamehmet, daughter-in-law of Mehmet Emin Karamehmet, drew a reaction from comedian Hasan Can Kaya on the program she attended.
Sedef Karamehmet, daughter-in-law of one of Turkey's leading business figures, Mehmet Emin Karamehmet, announced that she would donate 5 thousand TL while appearing on the program Konuşanlar.
Upon her saying she would give 5 thousand lira, Hasan Can Kaya reacted by saying, 'It is truly shameful. You sold Yapı Kredi for 4 billion dollars.'
When Sedef Karamehmet replied, 'I don't like to advertise like that,' Kaya responded, 'I wouldn't advertise a five thousand lira donation anyway. This isn't advertising, this is embarrassing. Make it 50 thousand lira to the CYDD (Association for the Support of Contemporary Living).'
On the other hand, the fortune of Sedef Karamehmet's father-in-law, Mehmet Emin Karamehmet, had reached 8 billion dollars in the year 2000. At that time, he had managed to surpass names like Jeff Bezos on the Forbes list.
