Living in the Pamukova district of Sakarya, Veysel Gider leaves flowers and prays at the grave of his wife, who passed away 9 years ago, every year on February 14, Valentine's Day.

67-year-old Veysel Gider, who lost his wife Saniye Gider in 2015 due to a heart attack, has been visiting her grave at the cemetery in Cumhuriyet neighborhood ever since.

Gider, who leaves red roses and bouquets at his wife's grave and prays, also clears the weeds and maintains the gravesite.

HE EXPRESSED THAT HE LOVED HIS WIFE VERY MUCH

Gider, a former blacksmith, told an AA reporter that he loved his wife Saniye Gider, whom he married in 1975, very much.

Explaining that his wife supported him even when his business was not going well, Gider stated that until she passed away, he would buy her flowers every February 14 on Valentine's Day to express his love.

'I RETURN HOME WITH A HEAVY HEART'

Stating that he has continued to come to his wife's grave every February 14 since her death, Gider said, "I come every Thursday evening to pray at her grave. I still love my wife very much, I miss her dearly. After leaving flowers at her grave on February 14, Valentine's Day, I return home with a heavy heart."
