It has been learned that master actor Settar Tanrıöğen, who underwent two surgeries after suffering a brain hemorrhage, will continue his treatment in the hospital for some time.
Settar Tanrıöğen, who plays the character of 'Abdullah' in the series 'Kızılcık Şerbeti', suffered a brain hemorrhage in recent weeks.
The following statement was made by the hospital regarding the health status of the master actor, who underwent two surgeries:
"The treatment and recovery process for our patient Settar Tanrıöğen, concerning the (subarachnoid) hemorrhage that occurred between the brain and the meninges as a result of the rupture of an aneurysm (bubble) in his brain, is ongoing. Our patient, who has been treated in our intensive care unit since January 26, 2024, was moved to a patient room on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, due to positive developments in his clinical condition and a reduction in risks. Our patient's treatment will continue in the patient room."
It has been learned that 61-year-old Settar Tanrıöğen, whose health status is being closely followed, will continue to receive treatment in a hospital room for some time and that visitor restrictions will remain in place.
WHO IS SETTAR TANRIÖĞEN?
Settar Tanrıöğen was born on October 22, 1960, in the Merkezefendi district of Denizli.
A graduate of Hacettepe University's Department of Archaeology and Art History, Settar Tanrıöğen became known in the 90s for his character 'Saldıray Abi' in the show 'Bir Demet Tiyatro', which also starred Yılmaz Erdoğan, Demet Akbağ, Erdal Tosun, Zerrin Sümer, Serhat Özcan, and Erdoğan Dikmen.
In 2009, Settar Tanrıöğen starred in the film 'Vavien' alongside Binnur Kaya, Engin Günaydın, Ercan Kesal, İlker Aksum, and Serra Yılmaz, and won the Best Supporting Actor award at the SİYAD Turkish Cinema Awards for his role as Cemal.
In 2010, he starred in the film 'Gölgeler ve Suretler' (Shadows and Faces), written and directed by Derviş Zaim, which focused on the issues between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, alongside Buğra Gülsoy, Hazar Ergüçlü, and Osman Alkaş. He won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2011 Ankara Film Festival for his role as Cevdet.
In 2015, he played the role of Cengiz in the film 'Saklı' (Hidden), written and directed by Selim Evci, alongside İlhan Şeşen, Türkü Turan, Pelin Akil, Şehnaz Bölen, and Ümit Çırak.
In 2015, he played the lead role in the comedy film 'Hayalet Dayı' (Ghost Uncle), directed by Ali Yorgancıoğlu.
Between 2015 and 2017, Settar Tanrıöğen portrayed the character of Salih Çelik in the series 'Baba Candır'. He is currently portraying the character of Abdullah in the series 'Kızılcık Şerbeti'.
