He had walked towards him: Mehmet Yalçınkaya has made his decision regarding Çağatay
Çağatay Doğanoğlu, who was kicked out of the studio following an argument on MasterChef Turkey, returned in the new episode and apologized to Mehmet Yalçınkaya in tears. To Çağatay, who kissed the chefs' hands, Chef Mehmet responded by saying, "I forgive you, you are a young man."
Emotional moments took place in the latest episode of MasterChef Turkey. Çağatay Doğanoğlu, one of the ambitious contestants of the main cast, made a mark on the agenda both for falling into the elimination pot and for the argument he had with Mehmet Yalçınkaya. The scene in the program's trailer where Çağatay was seen being removed from the studio and walking towards his chef in anger had caused a great stir among the viewers.
The elimination council gathered in the episode that aired on Friday evening, September 26, and the final vote of the week was held. Barış, who received the most votes, became the sixth elimination candidate. Meanwhile, Çağatay returned to the studio and apologized to Mehmet Yalçınkaya in front of all the contestants and chefs.
Making an emotional speech, Çağatay expressed his regret with the following words:
"Chef, I don't know where to start. I cannot put a name to what I did. If I call it disrespect or rudeness, it would be an understatement. I am aware that I overstepped my bounds. I went too far and showed you great disrespect. You are a teacher, you are a father figure. I wanted to come here and apologize to you. Regardless of the outcome, I want to kiss your hand."
CHEF MEHMET: AS A MASTER, I WAS HURT
Responding to Çağatay's words, Mehmet Yalçınkaya used the following expressions:
"There was a build-up in the incident that happened yesterday. We warned you many times. The reason for my explosion was not just yesterday. As for the action you took, as a master, I was hurt. We have a master-apprentice relationship here. I may have a harsh attitude, but this is not personal, it is a requirement of the job. Throughout my life, I have strived not to lose young people, and there is no counting the number of times I have scolded them. You cannot change me, because all our warnings are for the work, not personal."
HE COULD NOT HOLD BACK HIS TEARS
Following these words, Çağatay ran and kissed Chef Mehmet's hand. Yalçınkaya consoled his student by saying, "Don't worry about it." Then, Çağatay, who also kissed the hands of the other chefs, succumbed to his emotions and burst into tears.
