Hospital statement regarding the passing of Kadir İnanır
Kadir İnanır has passed away at Acıbadem Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for some time. Following his passing, a statement was issued by his doctor.
Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Görgen stated that the renowned artist Kadir İnanır passed away due to multiple organ failure, adding, "We wish God's mercy upon him and patience for his family and all his loved ones."
Görgen made a statement regarding the passing of the master of Turkish cinema, Kadir İnanır.
Hüsnü Görgen said, "Kadir İnanır, who was battling advanced-stage lung cancer, had been receiving treatment at our hospital since May 13, 2026, due to respiratory distress and pneumonia caused by the cancer.
Following the worsening of his respiratory failure, he was admitted to the intensive care unit on May 14, 2026.
Kadir İnanır, whose condition remained critical due to acute kidney failure and respiratory failure linked to advanced-stage lung cancer, passed away today (June 26, 2026) at 18:05 due to multiple organ failure.
We wish God's mercy upon him and patience for his family and all his loved ones."
