Hülya Avşar responds to Fatih Altaylı: 'I wasn't jealous, I loved her'

Meryem Uzerli, who rose to fame with her role as 'Hürrem Sultan' in the series 'Muhteşem Yüzyıl' (Magnificent Century) which aired between 2011 and 2014, was a guest on Hülya Avşar's YouTube program recently. Avşar's question, "Why don't they marry you?" was criticized by some social media users.

Fatih Altaylı's remark to Meryem Uzerli, whom he had hosted on his own program before she appeared on Hülya Avşar's, saying, "Hülya Avşar will burst with jealousy when she sees you," also became a trending topic on social media.

"I WASN'T JEALOUS, I LOVED HER"

Following the criticism regarding the marriage question and Fatih Altaylı's remarks, Hülya Avşar made a statement on her Instagram account. Avşar stated the following:

"Oh my, have we been trending for the last three or four days, have we entered the trending videos... As a team, we thank you very much. I think the comments under the conversation also helped, especially the unpleasant ones... I am trying to understand your sensitivity, but my guest and I enjoyed our conversation very much; we even took care to send the conversation to Meryem beforehand to get her approval, and we went live in line with the thanks we received."
