Hüsnü Şenlendirici on AKP's municipal council list: 'I do not want to be a subject of political contention'
The AKP has determined its mayoral candidates for provinces and districts. Famous clarinet virtuoso Hüsnü Şenlendirici has become the first-rank candidate on the AKP's Bergama municipal council list. Speaking about his candidacy, the artist said, "I want to do work that I believe will contribute to the promotion of my hometown, Bergama, to the whole world. I do not want this desire of mine to be made a subject of political contention."
The countdown continues for the local elections to be held on March 31.
Political parties have submitted their candidate lists to the Supreme Election Council (YSK).
The municipal council candidate lists of the AKP, which announced its mayoral candidates through promotional meetings, have also become clear.
Clarinet virtuoso Hüsnü Şenlendirici, who lives in the Bergama district of İzmir, has been nominated by the AKP as the 1st-rank municipal council candidate in his district.
'I DO NOT HAVE A MEMBERSHIP IN ANY POLITICAL PARTY'
Speaking about his candidacy, the artist stated, "I was nominated at the request of my friend Sadık Doğruer. I do not have a membership in any political party.
I want to do work that I believe will contribute to the promotion of my hometown, Bergama, to the whole world. I do not find it right for this desire of mine to be made a subject of political contention" he said.
