İbrahim Tatlıses undergoes surgery: Statement released regarding his health status

Positive statements have been made regarding the health status of famous artist İbrahim Tatlıses, who was hospitalized after falling ill at his home in Istanbul in recent days. Tatlıses, who presented to the hospital's emergency department on April 7 with complaints of high fever and low blood pressure, was admitted to intensive care as a precautionary measure.

During the treatment process, the artist was diagnosed with cholecystitis, a bacterial infection originating from the gallbladder, and was initially treated with antibiotics. However, due to the progression of the infection, a decision was made to perform surgery.

General Surgery Specialist Prof. Dr. Bilgi Baca, who performed the surgery, provided the following details regarding the operation:

"When İbrahim Bey arrived, he had a very severe infection. After diagnosing that this was gallbladder-related, and since he was also taking certain blood-thinning medications, we treated him with antibiotics for a while and waited for this infection to improve somewhat. We took our patient into surgery around 9 this morning. Of course, it was a complicated gallbladder case; he had a serious infection. That is why we were monitoring him under intensive care conditions. Everything went very well during the surgery; we did not observe any complications. But of course, this is not a simple gallbladder surgery; because it was a complicated operation, he will be monitored in intensive care. If everything goes well, we plan to discharge him next week."

It was reported that there have been positive developments in the health status of İbrahim Tatlıses, who is being closely monitored in intensive care. In the statement made by the team following the surgery, it was emphasized that no complications developed and the treatment is continuing without issues. It was noted that if everything goes well, the famous artist will be discharged next week.
