Influencer Mekselina İlkbahar accused of fraud: Müge Anlı reacts!

Social media influencer Mekselina İlkbahar, who called into famous television host Müge Anlı's program, was accused of defrauding a 62-year-old man of 4.5 million Turkish Lira. While the young woman's statements denying the allegations became a hot topic, it was claimed that she actually dropped out of high school despite presenting herself as a 'doctor' on social media. Following these claims, Mekselina İlkbahar hung up the phone and left the broadcast, drawing a sharp reaction from Müge Anlı.

ALLEGED TO HAVE DEFRAUDED 4.5 MILLION TL

A 62-year-old viewer named Metin, who participated in Müge Anlı's program, claimed that he was defrauded by social media influencer Mekselina İlkbahar. Mr. Metin alleged that they met under the promise of buying a timeshare, and that İlkbahar had him take out loans from many banks in his name, defrauding him of a total of 4.5 million Turkish Lira. Furthermore, after Mr. Metin stated that Mekselina İlkbahar introduced herself as a 'doctor,' the young influencer called into the live broadcast.

SHE SAID SHE WAS A DOCTOR, ANLI GOT ANGRY

The influencer, who introduces herself on her social media account as a graduate of Fenerbahçe University Faculty of Medicine and a part-time doctor, angered Müge Anlı with the contradictory statements she made on the program. When asked about her school life, İlkbahar first said, 'I put my schooling on hold,' and then used the phrase, 'I was going to be a psychology doctor.' 

Later, she continued her statements by saying, 'I transferred from literature to medicine.' When Müge Anlı stated that such a transfer was not possible, the influencer got angry and reacted by saying, 'You are not letting me speak, I didn't enter medicine from anywhere. I transferred, okay, can we return to our topic?' At that moment, a viewer who connected to the broadcast claimed that İlkbahar was actually a high school dropout. Angered by these words, the influencer hung up the phone and left the broadcast.

On the other hand, despite what happened on the program, the increase in the young woman's social media follower count drew attention. Reacting to this situation, Müge Anlı said, 'Her followers have increased by 4 thousand people. They say there is no such thing as bad publicity, but I would have expected the opposite. While someone you have been deceived by should lose followers, there is an increase. Please be careful, it's a shame!'
