Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announces the value of seized assets from social media influencers

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya made statements regarding social media influencers who have recently been in the spotlight due to police operations and the seizure of their assets.

'ASSETS TOTALING 92 BILLION LIRA HAVE BEEN SEIZED'

According to a report by Superhaber, Yerlikaya said, "Where are those influencers now? We have no issue with anyone's property or how they manage it. But when there is a complaint and MASAK investigates it, and if they say 'easy come, easy go,' we say 'stop.' We investigate and present our findings to the prosecutor. The prosecutor then forwards them to the court. The court then issues a seizure order. In total, the court has seized 92 billion lira worth of assets in Turkey following the MASAK report."

'WE WANTED TO DELIVER JUSTICE'

Continuing his remarks, Yerlikaya stated, "Our Istanbul Police Department applied to the prosecutor's office, and the prosecutor's office applied to the relevant court regarding the movable and immovable assets of 421 organized crime groups. The court stated that it found these applications to be justified. We have allocated these seized vehicles to the Istanbul Police Department.

After they were allocated to the Istanbul Police, I said that we have dismantled these groups that were tormenting our people and unjustly seizing their property, and we have delivered them to justice. Since we took the keys from them, we decided to let our heroic police officers use them for traffic patrols."
