Investigation launched into two TikTok influencers, Cansum and Sinan Kaya
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into TikTok influencers Cansum Kaya and Sinan Kaya on charges of "inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting."
In a written press statement issued by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that "an ex officio investigation has been launched into Cansum Kaya and Sinan Kaya under Article 216 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK) for 'Inciting the Public to Hatred and Hostility or Insulting' due to their posts on the social media platform TikTok, and both suspects have been taken into custody in accordance with the instructions of our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office."
