According to the decision published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, citizens traveling on Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and the Gayrettepe–Istanbul Airport–Arnavutköy Metro Line on May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day and May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day will be able to benefit from transportation services without paying a fee, in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 1 of Law No. 4736.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT WILL BE FREE IN ANKARA ON MAY 1ST

Public transport services will be available free of charge in Ankara on May 1st, Labor and Solidarity Day.

In a statement made by the EGO General Directorate, it was announced that public transport would be provided free of charge throughout the capital on May 1st. The statement published on the General Directorate's official website included the following:

'Public transport services will be provided to our citizens free of charge by the EGO General Directorate on May 1st, Labor and Solidarity Day. Our buses and rail system lines will operate according to weekend schedule hours. Departure times and routes of EGO buses can be accessed via the EGO CEP'TE mobile application and our organization's website (www.ego.gov.tr). We celebrate the May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day of all workers.'
