Israel makes Eurovision adjustment. To be announced on March 10

According to a report by Haaretz, the song "Hurricane," which will represent Israel at Eurovision, is a modified version of the song "October Rain" and its lyrics, which were previously rejected by the EBU.

In a written statement from the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (KAN), it was reported that the songwriters of Israel's Eurovision entry were asked to make adjustments to comply with EBU rules.

KAN's written statement noted that the decision was made upon the recommendation of President Isaac Herzog, and announced that the song would be shared with the public on March 10.

The song "October Rain" submitted by Israel had been rejected by the EBU on the grounds that it carried a political message.

The second song submitted to the contest by the Tel Aviv administration, "Dance Forever," was also rejected for the same reasons as the first song.

The Israeli press had stated that the song "Dance Forever," like the first song "October Rain" submitted by Israel to the contest, contained references to the October 7 attack by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
