Wheesung's lifeless body was discovered during checks conducted after his relatives, who had not heard from the artist for a long time, became concerned. According to the news first reported by the JoongAng Ilbo newspaper, the cause of death had not yet been determined as of 8:00 PM local time. Police authorities announced that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Choi Whee-sung was born on February 5, 1982, in South Korea. He began his career in the early 2000s and worked in the R&B music genre. He was known for songs such as "With Me," "Insomnia," and "Even Thought of Marriage."
