Kadir İnanır has passed away
Kadir İnanır, one of the legendary actors of Yeşilçam, has passed away at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for a long time.
Sad news has arrived regarding master actor Kadir İnanır, who had been in the hospital for approximately one month. The 77-year-old master artist, one of the names who left his mark on Turkish cinema, passed away at the hospital where he was being treated for pneumonia.
İnanır was taken to a hospital in Beşiktaş on May 14 after falling ill. The 77-year-old actor, who received his initial intervention at the hospital, was moved to the intensive care unit following an examination by doctors.
Following the examinations, the artist was diagnosed with pneumonia. İnanır's health condition worsened, and he was intubated.

Kadir İnanır, who was hospitalized on May 14 with a diagnosis of pneumonia, has passed away.
A ceremony will be held for İnanır at the Atatürk Cultural Center on Sunday at 12:00. Kadir İnanır's funeral will be laid to rest at Ulus Cemetery following the afternoon prayer at Barbaros Hayrettin Mosque.
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM MINISTER MEMİŞOĞLU
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu shared the following message regarding the passing of İnanır: "I learned with sadness of the passing of cinema artist Kadir İnanır. May God have mercy on him; I extend my condolences to his family, his loved ones, and our art community. May he rest in peace."
JÜLİDE KURAL HAD SAID 'I HOPE WE RECEIVE GOOD NEWS'
Sharing details about Kadir İnanır's treatment process, his life partner Jülide Kural had stated that a medical intervention became necessary due to a tumor detected in the lower region of the lung that developed due to pneumonia. Expressing that the decision to intubate the artist was made to ensure he did not suffer and to conduct the treatment process in a more controlled manner, Kural had expressed her anxiety with these words:
"Unfortunately, Kadir has been intubated. A tumor was seen in the lower part of the lung due to pneumonia. This path was chosen for a controlled treatment process in order to intervene more comfortably and ensure he does not suffer. Of course, we are currently facing a very risky situation. This is all I can say for now. I hope we receive good news from him."
WHO IS Kadir İnanır?
Born in 1949 in the Fatsa district of Ordu as the last child of his family, Kadir İnanır completed his primary and secondary education in Fatsa. Later graduating from Istanbul Haydarpaşa High School, İnanır completed his education by graduating from the Radio-Television Department of the Faculty of Communication at Marmara University.
Having reached the finals and winning the "Cinema Artist Competition" organized by Ses magazine in 1967, İnanır stepped into cinema at the age of 18 with a small role in the film "Yedi Adım Sonra" (Seven Steps Later).
He took on his first leading role in the film "Kara Gözlüm" (My Dark-Eyed One), directed by Atıf Yılmaz. Appearing on camera with Türkan Şoray in this production, İnanır became one of the unforgettable cinema couples of Yeşilçam. Their partnership, which began with "Kara Gözlüm," continued in many films. The duo last acted together in the film "Gönderilmemiş Mektuplar" (Unsent Letters).
Throughout his career, Kadir İnanır starred in numerous feature films, most notably "Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım" (The Girl with the Red Scarf), "Utanç" (Shame), "Amansız Yol" (Relentless Road), "Kırık Bir Aşk Hikâyesi" (A Broken Love Story), "Tatar Ramazan," "Dila Hanım," "Yılanların Öcü" (Revenge of the Snakes), "Uyanık Kardeşler" (The Witty Brothers), and "72. Koğuş" (Ward 72).
Known as the "tough and handsome man of cinema," the master actor appeared before audiences in more than 180 feature films and television series throughout his career. His final cinema project was the 2019 film "Kapı" (The Door).
