Kamuran İnselel laid to rest in haste

Singer and magazine columnist Onur Akay announced that master actor Kamuran İnselel, a veteran of Yeşilçam whose passing was reported in the press around noon today, had been laid to rest in haste.

Akay stated, "Our esteemed actor Kamuran İnselel, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, July 1, 2026, was laid to rest by cemetery staff at the Alanya Cikcilli Municipal Cemetery this morning at 11:00 AM, following a funeral prayer, before the news of his death had even been announced. May he rest in peace, but why was he laid to rest in such a hurry without even waiting for the noon prayer? He was also a co-star of Kadir İnanır. Wouldn't his loved ones have wanted to attend?" He also shared photos taken during the burial.

The news of the passing of the 88-year-old legendary theater and cinema artist Kamuran İnselel, who had been under treatment for some time at the Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Training and Research Hospital, was announced around noon today. 

Throughout his artistic career, İnselel appeared in countless theater plays and film sets, and contributed to unforgettable productions of Turkish cinema. The master actor was etched in memory for his character acting in the film 'Yarınsız Adam', which featured a star-studded cast including Kadir İnanır, Perihan Savaş, and Erol Taş.
