Landslide in Beşiktaş! 3 apartments damaged
A landslide occurred in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul. Three apartments were damaged in the incident.
A landslide occurred on Kabalak Street in the Mecidiye neighborhood of Beşiktaş, Istanbul.
Rocks and soil that broke away from the land fell into the gap of a four-story building. Three apartments were damaged in the incident.
Upon notification, police, fire department, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area.
While police teams took security measures by cordoning off the street, fire and AFAD teams determined that the falling debris had damaged apartments on the ground, entrance, and first floors of the building.
Beşiktaş District Governor Oğuzhan Bingöl also arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection.
Making a statement to members of the press, Bingöl said, "It is very important for us that there was no loss of life or injury. We will cover the other damages and take the necessary precautions."
