Latest update on Fatih Ürek's health condition

Singer Fatih Ürek collapsed at his home this morning. It was reported that his heart had stopped by the time medical teams arrived at the house following an emergency call. Ürek's heart did not beat during the approximately 20-minute transport from his home to the hospital.

Doctors decided to place the artist in a medically induced coma due to the risk of the brain being deprived of oxygen during this period.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yazıcıoğlu, who is overseeing Fatih Ürek's treatment, spoke hopefully to his relatives at the hospital:

“We are keeping Fatih under sedation for 24 hours to see how his brain was affected during the time his heart had stopped. This is a medically protective procedure.”

Multiple defibrillations (electric shocks) were applied to Ürek, and CPR was also performed.

It has been learned that the artist's heart is currently functioning normally, and doctors plan to wake him up in a controlled manner after the 24-hour period.
