Alejandra Marisa Rodriguez has been crowned the winner of the beauty pageant held in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

Rodriguez became the first woman to win a beauty pageant at the age of 60.

If Rodriguez also wins the nationwide competition (Miss Universe Argentina) in May, she will participate in the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Mexico in September.

It is known that Rodriguez, who was crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires, is a lawyer and a journalist.

In a statement following her victory, Rodriguez said, "I am very excited because we are starting a new phase where women have other values beyond just physical beauty."
