Margot Robbie, who was not nominated for an Oscar: 'It's impossible to be sad...'
Barbie star Margot Robbie has responded to the reactions regarding her not being nominated for an Oscar. Robbie said, "It's impossible to be sad when you know you're this blessed."
Famous actress Margot Robbie has spoken for the first time about not being nominated for Best Actress at the 2024 Oscars.
The fact that both Robbie and the film's director Greta Gerwig were not nominated for Oscars had sparked criticism.
Ryan Gosling, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film, reacted to the situation by saying, "There is no Ken without Barbie."
'IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE YEAR'
Margot Robbie broke her silence on the matter at an event where the Barbie film was being screened.
"It's impossible to be sad when you know you're this blessed," the actress said, adding, "Obviously, Greta should have been nominated as a director because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing. But it was an incredible year for all the films."
Robbie stated that Barbie receiving 8 Oscar nominations was also a great success, adding, "I suspect it's bigger than just us, or the film, or our industry."
