WHO IS FATMA KARANFİL?

Turkish theater, cinema, and television actress Fatma Karanfil was born on February 3, 1952, in Eskişehir.

The artist, who received training at LCC, began her cinema career with the third-place prize she won in the Ses magazine competition in 1968. The artist, who married Ali Kocatepe in 1975 and later separated, went to London between 1976 and 1980 to study textiles. She married for the second time in 1984. After contracting and overcoming breast cancer, she returned to the stage in 2001.

Karanfil, who played the character of "Fatma" in one of Yeşilçam's unforgettable productions, "Keloğlan," was most recently etched in memories for her role as "Şayeste" in the series "Aşk-ı Memnu."
