Mazhar Alanson announces: 'We are returning to the stage with Fuat Güner'
Özkan Uğur, one of the members of the group MFÖ, succumbed to lymphoma in July 2023. Having lost their friend and bandmate, Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner have announced in a written message that they are returning to the stage.
MFÖ member Özkan Uğur was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2013 and had overcome the disease following a treatment process.
After the disease recurred, Özkan Uğur passed away on July 8 following a 1.5-month intensive care period.
Mazhar Alanson and Fuat Güner, who had taken a break from concerts since the day they lost their friend of 52 years, Özkan Uğur, announced in a written statement that they would be returning to the stage.
'SEE YOU SOON...'
Alanson stated, "This was in our destiny, to return to the very beginning... With gratitude in our hearts for the 52 years we spent with Özkan, and with longing for the 7 months we have been apart, we are returning to the stage to continue singing MFÖ songs, just the two of us, Fuat and I, like in our younger years. See you soon."
