Merve Özbey, who lost 12 kilos, reveals her weight loss secret

Known for songs such as “Yaş Hikayesi”, “Vuracak”, “Kül”, and “Yaramızda Kalsın”, Merve Özbey has made headlines with her recent appearance. The famous singer answered questions from members of the press regarding her weight loss process.

Stating that she has lost approximately 12 kilos, Özbey also evaluated comments about her physical appearance. The singer said, “I am a short woman. Because I am a small woman, even if I gain 1 or 2 kilos, it looks like I have gained 20 kilos. I have probably lost about 12 kilos.”

EMPHASIS ON MEDICAL SUPERVISION

Speaking about her weight loss method, Özbey said that in the first stage of the process, she used injections under medical supervision. The artist explained that she lost the first 5-6 kilos using this method, and that her subsequent diet and intense schedule were effective in the rest of the process.

Özbey stated, “At the beginning, I lost the first 5-6 kilos with injections under medical supervision. Afterwards, between my diet, my child, and rushing to concerts, I am only able to eat very little.”

The famous singer noted that these applications are among the new methods recently offered by medicine, stating that it is not possible to speak definitively about long-term effects.

In her statement, Özbey said, “These are things that medicine has very recently offered us. I don't know about 10–15 years from now. But I did use injections under medical supervision when they first came out. I haven't used them for about the last year.”
