Michael Jackson's estate remains contested: Family at odds

Michael Jackson, one of the world's most famous figures who passed away in 2009 at the age of 50, left behind a significant fortune.

While it has been reported that Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine, has received more than 55 million dollars since then, it has been reported in the press that she is now at odds with her grandson due to a recent dispute.

It is reported that the youngest son of the late King of Pop, Bigi Jackson, wants to prevent his grandmother from using the estate to fund a legal dispute.

PETITION FILED

It is stated that Bigi has filed a petition to prevent 93-year-old Katherine from using the money to fund an undisclosed legal battle.

It is reported that 22-year-old Bigi is trying to stop Katherine from using more of the estate to finance a legal dispute believed to be related to the recent catalog deal with record label Sony, which is said to be worth 600 million dollars.

STATED IT WOULD BE UNFAIR

Jackson, whose real name is Prince Michael Jackson II, formerly known as Blanket and who changed his name to Bigi, stated that his grandmother's request would be unfair to him and his sister Paris.

Katherine had previously handed over guardianship of Bigi to his older cousin Tito Joe Jackson, who was a co-guardian, in 2017.
