Ministry obstacle for the film 'OY’una Geldik': No response for 45 days!

Kazım Öz, the director of the film "OY’una Geldik," which was shot in the Ovacık district of Tunceli and stars master actor İlyas Salman, announced that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has still not issued the "Work Registration Certificate" despite 45 days having passed since their application.

The film is set in a district of Tunceli and uses a humorous tone to address the election of a right-wing mayor in a left-leaning community, which occurred because left-wing parties could not agree on a joint candidate. In the film, the director brings not only this political process to the audience but also the region's natural beauty and local animals.

Emphasizing that the film cannot be released in theaters without the necessary documentation, Kazım Öz issued a call to Ministry of Culture and Tourism officials and cinema owners.

The release date of the film "OY’una Geldik," whose story was written by Ovacık's elected mayor Mustafa Sarıgül and directed by Kazım Öz—who has produced award-winning works such as "Elif Ana," "Bir Kar Tanesinin Ömrü," and "Zer"—has been forced to be postponed by one week.
