Ministry requests access ban for Mabel Matiz song
The Ministry of Family and Social Services has requested an access ban on Mabel Matiz's song titled 'Perperişan'.
The Ministry of Family and Social Services has applied to the Ankara Duty Magistrate Court for an access ban on Mabel Matiz's song 'Perperişan', citing violations of public order and general health under Law No. 5651.
In the petition submitted to the court by the Ministry, it was stated that the content of the song could harm the institution of the family, negatively affect the mental development of children and young people, disrupt public order, and cause public outrage.
It was noted that in applications made by citizens via CİMER, complaints were filed stating that the song lyrics were 'contrary to the customs and traditions of the Turkish family'.
The petition also stated that a request was made for the decision to be sent to the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) for implementation.
