Miss Universe 2025 has been crowned

Miss Universe 2025 concluded with a final night held in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Although this year's beauty pageant was considered a major event with the participation of more than 120 contestants, it was talked about more for the scandals that occurred. The argument between Mexican contestant Fatima Bosch and the pageant's host was one of the most notable events of the night.

TENSION BEGINS WITH THE "STUPID" CONTROVERSY

The crisis, which began when the pageant's host, Nawat Itsaragrisil, called Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch "stupid" for not posting enough on social media, escalated quickly. Bosch did not accept this insult and, calling security, left the competition hall along with Miss Iraq.

STATEMENTS FROM BOSCH: "THEY MUST HEAR OUR VOICES"

Speaking to the press, Bosch said, "They called me stupid; this is disrespectful. We are strong women and we are here to make our voices heard." As other contestants wanted to support Bosch, no one moved from their seats following host Nawat Itsaragrisil's warning that "those who want to continue should sit down."

SUPPORT FROM THE PRESIDENT OF MEXICO

Another source of support for Bosch came from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum. President Sheinbaum stated, "Women are more beautiful when they raise their voices. I appreciate this young woman."

CLAIMS THAT "30 FINALISTS WERE PRE-DETERMINED"

However, the scandals were not limited to this. One of the pageant's jury members, Omar Harfouch, claimed in a statement made before the final that the finalists had already been determined in advance by a secret jury. Harfouch stated that 30 finalists were selected from among the 136 country representatives. Following this statement, French technical director Claude Makelele announced his withdrawal from the competition.

DENIAL FROM THE MISS UNIVERSE ORGANIZATION

The Miss Universe organization denied Harfouch's accusations. In the statement made, it was expressed that "no external group was authorized to evaluate delegates or select finalists."

JEFF SATUR ON STAGE AT THE FINAL

Despite all these controversies, the final of Miss Universe 2025 took place in Thailand on the evening of November 21. Famous singer Jeff Satur took the stage during the night, which was themed "The Power of Love."
