Murat Övüç writes a letter from prison
Murat Övüç, who has been in prison for approximately three months, wrote a letter to his followers for the Ramadan Feast.
Murat Övüç, who is being tried with a request for one to three years in prison due to a video he shared on his social media account, addressed his loved ones while being held in a solitary confinement cell at Çorlu Karatepe Prison. The letter penned by the famous influencer for the Ramadan Feast was met with great interest on social media.
Sharing his feelings in prison openly in his letter, Övüç included the following lines: “My dear followers, those who love me, beautiful people who make room for me in their hearts… I have been in a solitary cell for about three months, for no reason. In the deepest silence, in the heaviest state of loneliness… But know that my heart still beats with you.”
Expressing the uncertainty and longing brought about by his detention, Övüç stated in his letter, “I don’t know how much longer we will be apart… I am counting the days, I am taking refuge in prayers. Most of all, I am staying strong with the dream of the moment I will reunite with you. Because what keeps a person alive is hope… And my hope is you.”
Conveying his feelings on the occasion of the Ramadan Feast, Murat Övüç said, “Maybe we are not side by side this holiday… But we were always together in my prayers. I wholeheartedly celebrate all of your Ramadan Feast. May the Lord accept the fasts you have kept and the prayers you have offered.”
