Nazar Büyüm, a contributor to Agos newspaper and the publisher of AnaBritannica, the Turkish version of the Britannica Encyclopedia, as well as Britannica Compton’s and Temel Britannica, has passed away.
WHO IS NAZAR BÜYÜM?
Nazar Büyüm was born in 1944. He studied English Language and Literature at Istanbul University. After leaving Ajans Ada, which he founded with two friends in 1975, he established Adam Yayınları, Merkez Ajans, and Anadolu Yayıncılık in 1981. He published literature and art books and magazines at Adam Yayınları, and reference books such as the Yurt Encyclopedia and the Turkish and World Encyclopedia at Anadolu Yayıncılık. Ana Yayıncılık, which he founded in 1985 with Osman Kavala and Selahattin Beyazıt, published AnaBritannica, the Turkish version of the Britannica Encyclopedia, as well as Britannica Compton’s and Temel Britannica. Büyüm also authored translations, compilations, and poetry books.
