New statement from Orçun İynemli's wife Eda İynemli: 'My husband doesn't sell drugs, he only uses them'

Eda İynemli, the wife of Orçun İynemli, who is an actor like his brother Aras Bulut İynemli, had filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office, stating that she had been assaulted by her husband.

The incident took place on October 22, 2023, at the home of Eda and Orçun İynemli in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul.

The married couple began to argue after consuming alcohol together, and as the argument escalated, actor Orçun İynemli assaulted his wife, Eda İynemli.

PURCHASED DRUGS FOR 2 THOUSAND LIRA

Following Eda İynemli's report, police forces seized 50 grams of narcotic substances during a search of the home. According to a report by Atakan Irmak from Sabah, the details of the statements given by the couple, Orçun and Eda İynemli, have emerged.

In his statement, Orçun İynemli said that he had purchased the narcotics in question for 2 thousand lira, and that the substance he was growing at home had not yet matured.

Stating that he used the substances in question, İynemli expressed that he had no intention of selling them and that he had bought the drugs to use them for the last time.

In her updated statement following the incident, Eda İynemli stated that when she let the police into her residence, she had reported that her husband was selling drugs because she was angry about the assault that had occurred between them, but that this was not the truth.

In the remainder of her statement, Eda İynemli indicated that her husband had purchased the substances in question to use drugs for the last time and that they would subsequently seek psychiatric treatment.

REQUEST FOR ACCESS BLOCK DENIED

Aras Bulut İynemli's brother, who is being held under judicial control, requested an access block on the news reports regarding the incident, claiming they were unfounded.

The judgeship rejected the actor's request.

The investigation conducted by the prosecutor's office is ongoing.
