Notable post from Ebru Gündeş after husband is detained

Singer Ebru Gündeş (50), who married her husband Murat Özdemir, who is 12 years her junior, in Dubai on February 27, 2024, was detained at his home in Acarkent in the morning hours.

Özdemir, who was taken from his home by police as part of an operation conducted on the grounds that he was a member of a criminal organization led by Selahattin Yılmaz, was released following his statement to the prosecutor's office.

According to allegations, it is claimed that Özdemir was involved in illegal activities in certain organized industrial zones.

The leader of the criminal organization, Selahattin Yılmaz, had previously come to the agenda with his confessions in the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation and had been accused of attempting to assassinate contractor Aziz İhsan Aktaş.

Following Özdemir's detention, Gündeş, who was expected to make a post on her social media account, maintained her silence on the subject. Instead, the singer drew the attention of her followers by making a post about her 2011 album 'Beyaz'.

In her post, Gündeş stated, “Thank you for looking at me like that, thank you for staying in my mind. My Beyaz album, year 2011… Endless thanks.”
