Nükhet Duru: 'I want my life to be a documentary'

Master artist Nükhet Duru met with her fans in Cyprus the other day. Speaking to reporters, Duru said, "I want my life to be a documentary."

Nükhet Duru: 'I want my life to be a documentary'

The artist, who took the stage at a hotel last Saturday, met with reporters before the concert.

Nükhet Duru, who celebrated her 70th birthday with friends a few days ago, responded to the question, "Would you like your life to be a film?" by saying, "I am receiving good offers. I want my life to be a documentary. We lived through the most magnificent era of the 'gazino' (nightclub) scene, and the audience would watch our memories with enthusiasm."

WHO IS NÜKHET DURU?

Nükhet Duru was born on May 19, 1954, in Istanbul. The famous singer is originally from Niğde. She was born as the daughter of a family from Bor. Duru completed her high school education at Kandilli Girls' High School.

When Nükhet Duru was just 11 years old, she suffered temporary paralysis due to the sadness she felt when her parents divorced. Nükhet Duru took her first steps into singing in 1971 by working as a soloist in a dance music orchestra at the Florya Marine Club in Bakırköy, Istanbul.

IS NÜKHET DURU MARRIED?

Nükhet Duru made her first marriage to Dikran Masis in 1987. The couple divorced in 1991. Nükhet Duru, who made her second marriage to Özalp Birol in 1995, also separated from Birol in 1999.
