'Oedipus Rex' meets theater lovers

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) City Theaters is hosting the Yugoslav Drama Theatre at the Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage as part of an international collaboration to explore new pursuits and contemporary interpretations in theater through the lens of European theaters.

The play will be performed in Serbian with Turkish surtitles.

Written by Sophocles and directed by Vito Taufer, the play features Milan Maric, Nataša Ninkovic, Srdan Timarov, Bojan Dimitrijevic, Aleksandar Durica, Miloš Samolov, Nebojša Ljubišic, Zoran Cvijanovic, Joakim Tasic, Marko Radojevic, Milan Bobic, Luka Antonijevic, Luka Sevic, and Veljko Stevanovic.

The play 'Oedipus Rex' can be watched at the Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage on January 22-23, 2024, at 20:30.
