Oscar-winning US actress shows support for Palestine
Oscar-winning US actress Susan Sarandon stated, "You don't have to be Palestinian to care about what's happening in Gaza. I stand with Palestine."
Sarandon announced her support for Palestine in a post on her X social media account.
Sharing a photo from the pro-Palestine demonstration held in New York, USA, on November 5, the Oscar-winning actress remarked, "You don't have to be Palestinian to care about what's happening in Gaza. I stand with Palestine. No one is free until everyone is free."
On October 21, Sarandon, along with 55 other artists and activists including famous names such as Joaquin Phoenix, Cate Blanchett, Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Mahershala Ali, and Riz Ahmed, had sent a letter calling on US President Joe Biden to demand a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine.
