Ozzy Osbourne has passed away
Ozzy Osbourne, the lead singer of the world-famous British rock band Black Sabbath, has passed away at the age of 76.
In a statement released by Osbourne's family, it was stated, "It is with a sadness that words cannot express that we must announce that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne passed away this morning.
He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family's privacy at this time." His family did not share any information regarding the cause of Osbourne's death.
Black Sabbath, for which Osbourne was the lead singer, gave its final concert at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on July 5. In addition to Black Sabbath, world-famous rock bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and Guns N' Roses also took the stage at the event titled "Back To The Beginning".
Founded in Birmingham in 1968 by Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, Black Sabbath is widely considered the pioneer of heavy metal music.
