The will of British comedian, actor, and writer Paul O'Grady, who passed away at the age of 67 on March 28, 2023, following a heart attack at his home, has been revealed.
O'Grady, who had a total fortune of over 15 million pounds, donated a portion of this money to charities and organizations 'close to his heart,' primarily the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
LEFT 100 THOUSAND POUNDS
The comedian left 775 thousand pounds to Battersea Dogs Home, which was featured in his popular program 'For the Love of Dogs' once aired on ITV; 500 thousand pounds to the Salvation Army, which he featured in his 2016 TV program 'The Sally Army and Me with Paul O'Grady'; and a total of 100 thousand pounds to be shared between two foreign wildlife organizations working for elephants and orangutans, namely the Indian wildlife foundation Wildlife SOS and the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo.
The famous star set aside 125 thousand pounds for his beloved pets Nancy, Arfur, Conchita, Eddie, and Sausage and wrote special instructions for them.
According to his will, the comedian's dogs will be cared for by his manager, Joan Marshrons.
