Following the detention of Haluk Levent as part of an investigation into the AHBAP Association, historian Pelin Batu announced that she had deleted her posts about AHBAP from the earthquake period. In a message she published, Batu apologized to the public and expressed her regret.
Historian Pelin Batu, who made headlines during the earthquake period with her posts supporting the AHBAP Association and singer Haluk Levent, made a notable statement following Haluk Levent's detention in the AHBAP investigation. Batu announced that she had removed the posts she had made on her social media account at that time.
Making a statement on her social media account, Pelin Batu used the following expressions:
"I have removed the content I shared during the earthquake period. I sincerely apologize to all our people, especially state institutions and officials. I do not know if it will be valid, but I am very regretful. Disinformation can sometimes affect us all. It was wrong to act by trusting without researching. One is now confused about what and whom to trust. As a diplomat's daughter, it did not suit me."
