Premiere of the film 'Cadı' held in Baku

The film Cadı has drawn 174 thousand 254 viewers to movie theaters in two weeks.

Following its release in Turkey, the film's Baku premiere also took place. In addition to the film's lead actors Furkan Andıç and Buse Meral, Çağdaş Onur Öztürk also met with cinema enthusiasts in Baku.

Regarding Baku, which he visited for the first time, Furkan Andıç said, "We felt as if we hadn't changed places, as if we were traveling within the same homeland... Honestly, I wasn't expecting this much interest; everyone was warm and attentive. Thank you to them, I had anticipated this, but we were a little surprised..."

Cadı, a film adapted from the novel of the same name by Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar, follows the events that unfold as Fikriye, a young widow forced into marriage with Naşit Nefi Efendi during the final days of the Ottoman Empire, attempts to solve the mystery behind the rumors of a witch haunting the mansion where they live.
