Prison sentence requested for Manifest group

Prison sentence requested for Manifest group

In the prepared indictment, it was requested that the group members be sentenced to 6 months to 1 year in prison for the crime of "engaging in lewd acts through exhibitionism."

SEPTEMBER 6 CONCERT

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had announced that an ex officio investigation had been launched into the members of the music group Manifest, who sang at a public concert in the Harbiye neighborhood of Şişli district on September 6, as well as the individuals who performed dances and shows on stage, for the crime of "exhibitionism" under the scope of "lewd acts."

In the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that various dance performances took place during the group's concert at KüçükÇiftlik Park. It was stated that it had been determined that they "engaged in actions that would negatively affect the common moral values of society" during this time.

'COULD NEGATIVELY AFFECT CHILDREN AND YOUTH'

The statement included assessments that children and young people could be negatively affected in this way. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office statement also noted that an investigation had been launched regarding the actions at the public concert, stating, "Instructions have been given to law enforcement units to identify the suspects."
