Prison sentence sought for Ufuk Bayraktar, known as Ezel's 'Ramiz Dayı'
A prison sentence of up to 12 years has been requested for famous actor Ufuk Bayraktar in a case where he is accused of demanding extortion money at a restaurant in Beyoğlu.
The investigation into the incident in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, where actor Ufuk Bayraktar was alleged to have demanded extortion money from a restaurant, has been completed. An indictment has been prepared against Bayraktar, seeking a prison sentence ranging from 7.5 to 12 years on charges of "extortion at a workplace with more than one person."
Bayraktar became known for portraying the younger version of 'Ramiz Dayı' in the famous television series Ezel. However, in the recent incident, it was alleged that he went to a restaurant in Beyoğlu and demanded 25 thousand TL in extortion money. Detained following the incident, Bayraktar was referred to court with a request for arrest but was released under judicial control.
According to the allegations, when Bayraktar did not receive the amount he requested the first time, he went to the same restaurant again and this time demanded 10 thousand lira. Following these developments, the prosecutor's office prepared an indictment containing serious charges against Bayraktar. The judicial process for the incident is being followed with interest.
