Record number of visitors to Göbeklitepe and Zeugma
On the second day of the holiday, the Göbeklitepe Archaeological Site in Urfa hosted 11,454 visitors, while the Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Antep welcomed 5,660 people, both breaking their daily visitor records.
The Göbeklitepe Archaeological Site in Urfa, described as the 'zero point in history' and officially opened in 2019, and the Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Antep, one of the world's largest mosaic museums, broke their daily visitor records during the holiday.
The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that the Göbeklitepe Archaeological Site in Urfa hosted 11,454 visitors today, while the Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Antep welcomed 5,660 people.
In a statement made on the social media account of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, it was stated that these figures represent a daily visitor record for both the Göbeklitepe Archaeological Site and the Zeugma Mosaic Museum.
Our Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum broke its all-time daily visitor record today with 5,660 visitors.
