Released from prison 8 months ago: Tamar Oner sues first Can Tanrıyar and then the nanny

Tamar Oner and famous television personality Can Tanrıyar, who married in 2021, are getting a divorce.

Sharing on her social media account regarding the matter, Tamar Oner stated, "I have decided to divorce my husband, Can Tanrıyar. I hope this process will end smoothly as soon as possible."

In a subsequent post, Tamar Oner published a photo of her former female employee and said, "This woman, Fatma, is from Turkmenistan. I fired her because she hit my daughter while potty training her. My ex-husband, from whom I have been separated for 1 month, has started employing her. I am also taking this woman to court."

HE HAD BEEN RELEASED

Can Tanrıyar was arrested in April 2023 on charges of "seizing or disseminating personal data" and "attempted qualified extortion" following allegations made by fugitive Muhammed Yakut.

In the hearing held at the Istanbul 38th High Criminal Court on December 15, 2023, the prosecutor had requested the continuation of Can Tanrıyar's detention.

The court, however, decided to release him, taking into account the time Tanrıyar had already spent in custody. A travel ban was imposed on Tanrıyar.

Tanrıyar is also accused of leaking information and documents to Muhammed Yakut for use in his videos.

UP TO 11 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS IN PRISON SOUGHT

The indictment states that the suspects Tamar Tanrıyar, Hüseyin Can Tanrıyar, and Muhammed Yakut acted in unity of thought and action to commit the crime of attempted extortion against the complainants, businessman Metin Güneş and his son Muhammed Abdulkadir Güneş.

The suspects Can Tanrıyar, Tamar Tanrıyar, and Muhammed Yakut face prison sentences ranging from 7 years and 6 months to 11 years and 3 months.
