Ricky Martin performs in Istanbul after 15 years
Latin pop star Ricky Martin performed in Istanbul after a 15-year hiatus. Before Martin took the stage, popular singer Edis performed his hit songs.
While world-famous names such as Justin Timberlake and Kanye West have met with their fans in Istanbul in recent years, Latin pop star Ricky Martin also met with music lovers at KüçükÇiftlik Park in Istanbul after a 15-year break.
Before the singer, who has topped world charts with songs like "Livin' la Vida Loca" and "She Bangs," took the stage, famous singer Edis performed his popular tracks.
Martin, who started the concert—where long queues formed at the entrance—with upbeat songs, occasionally addressed the audience in Turkish, saying "Good evening, thank you." The singer was accompanied on stage by his dance crew.

At the concert, attendees had the opportunity to listen once again to the Latin pop star, who last sang his songs in Istanbul in 2011.
On the other hand, singer Edis stated that the first major concert he ever attended was Ricky Martin's 1998 concert in Istanbul, and explained that he decided to become a singer after that performance. With this concert, the famous pop star shared the stage with Martin.

"I have waited a long time for today"
Meanwhile, a concertgoer named Dayana Arba said, "I am very excited; I just heard of Edis's name. I just learned his songs from my friends. I think it will be great."
Hana Zara, who was among the audience, said, "I am very excited; I have been living in Turkey for 5-6 years. I have waited a long time for today."
